Le diam\u00e8tre du crat\u00e8re est d\u2019environ 80\u202fkm | \u00a9&nbsp;NASA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>La Lune est sur le point d\u2019\u00eatre frapp\u00e9e par les d\u00e9bris d\u2019une fus\u00e9e, cr\u00e9ant un crat\u00e8re cons\u00e9quent.<\/p>\n<p>Le 4 mars, trois tonnes d\u2019un reste de fus\u00e9e vont s\u2019\u00e9craser sur la face cach\u00e9e de la Lune \u00e0 une vitesse de 9 300\u202fkm\/h. Les experts s\u2019attendent \u00e0 ce que l\u2019objet creuse un trou de 10 \u00e0 20 m\u00e8tres de&nbsp;large.<\/p>\n<p>La face cach\u00e9e de la Lune est celle qui se trouve toujours du c\u00f4t\u00e9 oppos\u00e9 \u00e0 la Terre. Cette face comporte beaucoup plus de crat\u00e8res que celle que les humains voient depuis la&nbsp;Terre.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019impact ne sera donc visible ni de nos propres yeux ni \u00e0 partir de t\u00e9lescopes. Il faudra peut-\u00eatre des semaines, voire des mois, pour confirmer l\u2019impact par des images satellites. L\u2019atterrisseur lunaire chinois, situ\u00e9 sur la face cach\u00e9e de la Lune, sera trop \u00e9loign\u00e9 pour d\u00e9tecter l\u2019impact de vendredi, juste au nord de l\u2019\u00e9quateur. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsendip.com\/fr\/inde-veut-sa-part-dans-le-marche-de-lindustrie-spatiale\/\">D\u2019autres satellites de la NASA ou de l\u2019Inde<\/a> seront \u00e9galement hors de port\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Sans v\u00e9ritable atmosph\u00e8re, la Lune est sans protection contre les m\u00e9t\u00e9ores et ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes, pas plus que contre les vaisseaux spatiaux, dont certains se sont \u00e9cras\u00e9s d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment pour des raisons scientifiques. En l\u2019absence de climat, il n\u2019y a donc pas d\u2019\u00e9rosion et les crat\u00e8res form\u00e9s par \u00e0 l\u2019impact restent \u00e9ternellement.<\/p>\n<p>La NASA recense actuellement plus de 27 000 d\u00e9bris orbitaux, ou \u00ab\u202f<em>d\u00e9chets spatiaux\u202f\u00bb<\/em>. Une explication possible est que la surface de la face cach\u00e9e est plus \u00e9paisse, rendant plus difficile pour la mati\u00e8re en fusion du dessous de remonter \u00e0 la surface et former les mers. | \u00a9&nbsp;NASA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Aucun pays ne se soucie vraiment de surveiller ce genre de d\u00e9bris spatial<\/h2>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>En revanche, les objets lanc\u00e9s plus au loin dans l\u2019espace sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement oubli\u00e9s car il est peu probable qu\u2019ils touchent quelque chose \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de nous. \u00c0 l\u2019exception d\u2019une poign\u00e9e d\u2019observateurs qui aiment les suivre pour le plaisir.<\/p>\n<p>Bill Gray, math\u00e9maticien, physicien et traqueur d\u2019ast\u00e9ro\u00efdes amateur, a identifi\u00e9 la collision entre la fus\u00e9e, longue de 12 m\u00e8tres et de 3 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre, et la Lune en janvier dernier.<\/p>\n<p>Il avait initialement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 que le projectile provenait d\u2019une fus\u00e9e Falcon de SpaceX, mais il a ensuite revu ses calculs affirmant ensuite qu\u2019il s\u2019agissait probablement du troisi\u00e8me \u00e9tage d\u2019une fus\u00e9e chinoise. Plusieurs autres experts soutiennent ses nouveaux r\u00e9sultats, mais ni SpaceX ni la Chine ne l\u2019ont contact\u00e9 pour ses calculs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u202f<em>Personne ne se soucie vraiment dece qu\u2019ils font des d\u00e9chets sur ce type d\u2019orbite\u202f\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Gray.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan McDowell, du Centre d\u2019astrophysique de Harvard et du Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, fait remarquer qu\u2019il n\u2019existe aucune base de donn\u00e9es disponible, \u00e0 part celles que lui-m\u00eame, Gray et quelques autres ont cr\u00e9\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u202f<em>Nous sommes maintenant dans une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 de nombreux pays et entreprises priv\u00e9es laissent des objets dans l\u2019espace, il est donc temps de commencer \u00e0 les surveiller\u202f\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 McDowell. \u00ab\u202f<em>Pour l\u2019instant, personne ne le fait, \u00e0 part quelques fans sur leur temps libre\u202f\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u202f<em>Cela faisait longtemps que j\u2019esp\u00e9rais que quelque chose de gros frappe la Lune.
