Le bureau de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 royale de Tha\u00eflande a annonc\u00e9 un changement de nom pour la capitale du pays. Bangkok pourrait officiellement s\u2019appeler Krung Thep Maha Nakorn.<\/p>\n

Toutefois, le terme Bangkok sera toujours utilis\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La ville est d\u00e9j\u00e0 connue en tha\u00ef sous le nom de Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (\u0e01\u0e23\u0e38\u0e07\u0e40\u0e17\u0e1e\u0e21\u0e2b\u0e32\u0e19\u0e04\u0e23), qui est son nom c\u00e9r\u00e9monial complet, ou plus famili\u00e8rement sous le nom de Krung Thep. Krung signifie capitale en langue tha\u00ef.<\/p>\n

Dans les documents officiels, Bangkok sera \u00e9crit apr\u00e8s Krung Thep Maha Nakorn, entre parenth\u00e8ses ou apr\u00e8s un point-virgule.<\/p>\n

Alors que l\u2019annonce a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une certaine confusion, Ratchada Thanadirek<\/a>, porte-parole adjointe du bureau du Premier ministre, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 le 16 f\u00e9vrier que ce changement n\u2019\u00e9tait que mineur pour la Tha\u00eflande.<\/p>\n

La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 royale de Tha\u00eflande est responsable des normes acad\u00e9miques et linguistiques et le changement n\u2019aura pas de cons\u00e9quences \u00e9tendues comme certains internautes l\u2019imaginaient.<\/p>\n

Krung Thep Maha Nakorn ne sera utilis\u00e9 comme nom normalis\u00e9 uniquement pour les documents officiels.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bangkok pourra \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour d\u00e9signer Bangkok et Krung Thep Maha Nakhon.<\/p>\n

Le cabinet a approuv\u00e9 l\u2019annonce du bureau du Premier ministre mardi. Une commission devra valider les changements, et le minist\u00e8re des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res pourra formuler des observations avant qu\u2019ils ne soient mis en oeuvre.<\/p>\n

Ces modifications s\u2019inscrivent dans le cadre d\u2019une refonte visant \u00e0 uniformiser les noms des pays, des territoires, des circonscriptions administratives et des capitales<\/a>. Par exemple, la capitale de l\u2019Italie, Rome, s\u2019\u00e9crira \u00ab\u202fRome, Roma<\/em>\u202f\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Bangkok est officiellement devenue le nom de la capitale<\/a> de la Tha\u00eflande en 2001, bien qu\u2019il soit utilis\u00e9 bien avant cette reconnaissance officielle.<\/p>\n
